Have you seen a member showing exemplary leadership skills, whether at the lance or hunt level? Members who are always there to help, always active, and have proven themselves in their current roles and who look to be up to the challenge? Then the High Council wants to hear from you about them!
Awards
Catch a member doing good? Always helping with the guild? Single handedly saving an entire lance, or performing countless rescue missions? Or, is it someone who you feel exemplifies leadership in Marrach Faol?
It’s to these exceptional individuals that our honorary program is in place. Currently there are four honoraries you can recommend a member for:
The Star of Leadership – Is there a Hunt Leader or Lance Leader who you’ve seen do an amazing job? Ever go on a hunt where everything went right, all thanks to the leadership involved? Seen someone who can take charge and lead their command consistently to victory? Then the Star of Leadership may be for them!
The Cross of Courage – When your entire hunt was down, did one person turn the tide and rescue their guildmates? When you were trapped in the bottom of Hythloth, who was there to help you out? When your lance dropped and someone had to save the day, who was it? The Cross of Courage is given out for singular instances of members going above and beyond the call of duty to aid their guildmates. Help us recognize these people!
The Badge of Valor – We all know the kinds of members we have in our lance – The ones that are cool under fire, excellent within the team as a leader and a follower, and exemplify what we expect out of our lancemates in the field. From the mage that always keeps their members healed but has that e-bolt handy, or the bard that everyone wants in their lance because of their teamwork and skill, or the dependable warriors and paladins that make up our front lines… The Badge of Valor is our honorary for those that exemplify our hunting culture and serve as examples to others.
The Silver Thistle – Marrach Faol is about more than hunting – we also have artisans and merchants, writers and event organizers – and all of the other people that it takes to bring all of the elements of our organization together. When everyone is doing their best, we forget about the people behind the scenes that make it happen. The Silver Thistle is there to ensure we don’t. The Silver Thistle is our award for exemplary service outside the field of battle – whether it’s for guild administration and support, candidate and recruit management, event and festival organization, or support for our merchants and crafters. So the next time you get ready to depart another successful event, take a moment to think about who was there to make it all happen – and think of this honorary.
